We were in today for Sylvia's "pre-op" physical and her doctor cleared her for surgery on Thursday. Sylvia does have a cold, and so we are praying it will not get worse which would cause a delay in her surgery date.
We are scheduled to check in at the hospital at 6AM on Thursday for her 7:30AM MRI scan prior to surgery. She will be taken right in to surgery from the MRI room.
The doctors estimate her surgery at 8 hours and may actually be more or less. Her surgeon said not to be concerned about the length of time, they will simply take as long as needed to do the surgery.
We will be able to post updates on this blog from the hospital as we receive news.

Just a note to say that we will be praying for you tomorrow that everything will go PERFECTLY during Sylvia's surgery!----and that the rest of the family will experience God's perfect peace. Sam and Macy looked at the pictures of Sylvia on her blog and are now busy painting her a picture to "help her feel better!" They are also trying to think of a "little present to make her better."(four year old language) Macy in particular is very thoughtful about Sylvia having doctor appts. like she does.
