surgery day

Well, it's surgery day, and we are excited to finally see something happening! Today Sylvia went in at 6:00 for her pre-op, and an initial MRI, then she had all her tubes and stuff put in. Then surgery finally started at 11:00, and an additional MRI at about 3:00, following some more removal of her tumor. And finally after one final MRI exam, our surgeon announced that he believes the whole tumor has been removed. Whew!!!!! Well after getting out of recovery after 8:00 we went with Sylvia to the children's ICU unit for at least tonight, where they can monitor her. What a day, but what a relief. The surgeon still doesn't know if the seizures are related to the tumor removal (since it wasn't a epilepsy surgery), but we are hopeful. Anyway, we have our daughter back in our care, and are relieved. Our surgeon told us to not be surprised by a speedy recovery, so, cool!! but we'll see how she responds to everything tomorrow. God is Awesome, and we thank everyone for their continued prayers through out this time. We are still pretty speechless about how you all care for Sylvia, and us. Thanks so much for caring, and feel free to call us! our home phone number is forwarded to us here! 320-214-8549
